## Our Story

Behind the pale shutters of La Bastide de Monique lies the story of a family home, that of my grandparents, Francis and Monique. It was here that I spent my childhood holidays, to the rhythm of sun-drenched summers and cosy Christmas firesides.

I hold wonderful memories of picking tomatoes in my grandfather's vegetable garden, building hideaways in the grounds, and spending late afternoons trimming green beans on the terrace.

These simple, happy moments inspired me to breathe new life into this Provençal bastide, to share the calm, the warmth, and the conviviality that make it so unique.

La Bastide de Monique bears her name as a tribute. Monique is at the heart of this story: a gentle, radiant woman, deeply attached to this house.

My grandmother, “Mamie Monique”, still lives nearby, in the village. It is thanks to her, to her trust and her kindness, that this project came to life.

Today, the bastide opens its doors once more, transformed yet faithful to its original soul. I wanted to create an elegant and soothing guesthouse, reflecting the memories that dwell within: a simple and sincere place, where you feel welcomed as at home, surrounded by nature, light, and gentleness.
